The 25th Morningside Boy Scout Troop was founded in 1919, just twelve years after the Movement was started by Baden-Powell with a camp on Brownsea Island off the Isle of Wight.

This picture shows the Scout Patrol that won the District Shield in 1947. Does anybody recognize any of them?

Since the Group was founded, a Troop Shield has been awarded annually.

We would appreciate it if any retired Scouts from the Group could volunteer to research this page for us. You do not need to pretend to understand computers... today's Scouts know how to do the fiddly bits (and, yes, they still know how to light fires, cook dampers, follow backwoods trails and tie water bowlines as well!)

There is a comprehensive archive of photographs and written records to help whoever might take on this task.  A few of the relevant photos appear on the Patrol pages!
